Description

Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) position available in El Paso, Texas. This contract role involves working night shifts and requires candidates to bring their license on the first day. The role is within a facility that provides maternal Level III care and is recognized as a mother-friendly environment.

Job Details:

  • Location: El Paso, Texas
  • Shift: Nights, from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • Schedule: 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a valid nursing license, with certifications including Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP). No prior years of experience are mandated.
  • Additional Information: The role is situated within a unit offering a maternal Level III designation, specializing in labor and delivery procedures such as cesarean sections, tubal ligation, cerclage, dilation and curettage, inductions, and OB outpatient services. The unit features advanced fetal monitoring equipment, GE fetal monitors, Panda warmers, Hillroom labor beds, and operates with Meditech electronic medical records.
  • Responsibilities include circulating during cesarean deliveries, adhering to unit protocols including oxytocin and magnesium sulfate guidelines, and providing postpartum and outpatient obstetric care.
  • The candidate must be a team player with an open mind, capable of working efficiently in a dynamic environment. Dress code requirements include galaxy blue scrubs with a patch from the healthcare organization and closed-toe shoes.
  • The unit maintains a staff of 52, with shift-specific staffing profiles and patient ratios detailed for labor, antepartum, PACU, and postpartum care.
