Job Summary:
A Medical Surgical (Med/Surg) Registered Nurse (RN) position is available in Georgetown, Texas. This contract assignment is located on the 2nd floor of the medical surgical unit and involves night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The role requires candidates to bring their license on the first day to ensure compliance.

Job Details:

• Location: Georgetown, Texas
• Position: Contract RN - Medical Surgical (Med/Surg)
• Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, Basic Life Support (BLS), Nearest State (Texas), and no minimum experience specified
• Additional Information:
  • Unit profile includes 14 beds, 3 Registered Nurses (RN), 1 Patient Care Technician (PCT), and 1 free float clinical nurse.
  • Typical staffing includes 3 RNs and 1 PCT for night shifts.
  • Patient ratios are 1:5.
  • Equipment includes Alaris pumps, and the electronic medical record system used is MEDITECH.
  • Preferred skills include Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Rhythm Interpretation, and the ability to work with Bronch EGD/Colonoscopy procedures.
  • Candidates should be flexible team players and adhere to navy scrub dress code.
  • Staffing is permanent on the unit, with a focus on hiring for experienced RNs with specific skill sets.
  • Candidates without the required skills will not be considered.
