Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN) position available in Austin, Texas. This contract opportunity involves night shifts scheduled from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with rotating weekends. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day. The role offers a dynamic environment with a variety of procedures typical to emergency care.
Job Details:
- Location: Austin, Texas
- Shift Time: Nights (7:00 PM 7:00 AM)
- Schedule: Nights with rotating weekends; No Call; Minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid state nursing license; must have at least 0 years of experience; Certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); must have these certifications by the start date.
- Preferred Qualifications: More than 2 years of experience, additional skills and certifications are considered advantageous.
- Additional Information: Unit has 32 beds with a patient ratio of 4:1, utilizing Meditech electronic medical records; procedures include intubations, lumbar punctures, lac repairs, suture removal, splinting, and administering medications such as TNK. Candidates are expected to be great team players who anticipate patient and department needs; dress code includes navy blue scrubs and zip-up sweaters, with pull-over sweatshirts not acceptable.
