Job Summary:
Nurse Manager Labor & Delivery in San Luis Obispo, California. This leadership role involves overseeing unit-based clinical services, supervising nursing and ancillary personnel, and ensuring the delivery of safe, patient-centered care. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

Location: San Luis Obispo, California
Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education/related experience; Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in California; Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS or HS-BLS or RQIBLS) certification from approved vendor; AHA-Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or ARC-Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification; Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC).
Preferred Qualifications: Masters Degree in nursing; Supervisory experience or demonstrated supervisory skills; Clinical specialty and/or nursing administration certification.
Additional Information: Provides unit-based leadership in the development and provision of clinical services. Supervises and directs unit personnel, initiates and coordinates care plans, and participates in patient care as needed. Fosters an environment of patient and family-centered care, ensures compliance with safety goals and quality measures, and manages staffing based on patient acuity. Facilitates staff development and participates in quality improvement activities. Keeps the Director informed of unit activities and maintains operational standards across the department.
