Job Summary:
This position is for a Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technician in Palo Alto, California. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The role involves assisting nursing staff in perioperative care, maintaining sterile environments, and supporting patient safety and comfort in a fast-paced surgical setting.

Job Details:

• Location: Palo Alto, California
• Schedule: Evening shifts, 8 hours per shift, minimum 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED equivalent; BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; ability to speak, read, write, and understand English effectively; ability to be flexible in assignment and work different shifts if required; ability to demonstrate customer service skills; knowledge of computer systems, common operating room equipment, protocols for patient records, and role in emergency response; 0 years of experience required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Ability to learn new equipment and procedures quickly; strong problem-solving skills; ability to provide patient-centered care considering age, culture, and developmental issues; knowledge of cardiopulmonary resuscitation techniques and infection control policies.
• Additional Information: The role involves assisting in patient preparation, equipment handling, maintaining a sterile environment, and supporting quality assurance activities within the operating room. Active participation in team meetings and adherence to hospital policies are expected.
