Job Summary
Psychiatric Nurse (RN) - Janesville, Wisconsin. This position is based in a behavioral health unit within the facility. The role involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients in a mental health setting, utilizing clinical expertise and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. Candidates are required to bring their Wisconsin nursing license on the first day of employment.
Job Details
- Location: Janesville, Wisconsin
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with an every-other-weekend schedule.
- Required Qualifications: Degree in Nursing with education verification; Wisconsin or Multi-state Registered Nurse (RN) license; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; minimum of 0 years of experience within the field.
- Additional Information: Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures, standards of care, and State laws/practice acts. Documents according to standards of care. Develops, initiates, and executes a patient plan of care according to the individualized needs of the patient, as prescribed by Physician and/or hospital policy, including patient and family instruction. Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance. Utilizes clinical expertise and guidance to other units/departments in support of the patients longitudinal plan of care. Employs critical thinking regarding patient safety and patient experience, escalating issues as appropriate.
