Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Intensive Care Unit at the location in Poughkeepsie, New York. This role involves supporting the critical care service line with responsibilities including ventilator management, trauma care, cardiac monitoring, and post-surgical patient care. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Location: Poughkeepsie, New York
• Shift Schedule: Nights, from 07:00 PM to 07:30 AM, alternating weekends
• Schedule: 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: NYS Registered Nurse (RN) License, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS); candidates should have 0 or more years of experience, with a preference for 3 or more years of experience in a comparable setting.
• Preferred Qualifications: 3+ years of relevant experience
• Float: Float rotation may be required within the critical care service line, including Medical Stepdown, Surgical Stepdown, and Cardiothoracic Stepdown units.
• Additional Information: This role involves working with ventilators, endotracheal tubes, tracheostomies, post-surgical and trauma patients, neuro interventions, cardiac drips, sedation titration, arterial lines, Swan-Ganz catheters, transvenous pacing wires, telemetry, lab interpretation, and requires critical thinking and strong time management skills.
