Description

Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Nurse in Asheville, North Carolina. This position involves providing clinical education and support to staff, travelers, and interdisciplinary team members within a healthcare facility. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day.

Job Details:

Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; acute care experience; critical care background; procedural nursing experience; clinical teaching skills; competency validation experience; nurse residency or transition-to-practice training; preceptor development; ability to support flexible scheduling including days, nights, and weekends
Preferred Qualifications: Strong communication, coaching, and teaching skills; experience with high-risk education, regulatory readiness, quality and safety initiatives, survey response work; familiarity with education tracking tools, dashboards, LMS platforms, and competency checklists; experience supporting night shift, weekend, and hard-to-reach colleague education; previous Mission experience is preferred
Additional Information: Deliver assigned clinical education content, support staff in education, provide unit-based rounding and coaching, document education completion, and identify barriers to learning. Support re-education when needed and partner with educators and leaders to ensure quality patient care and staff competency. Float rotation may be required.
