Job Summary:
The Labor and Delivery Department RN position is located in Bismarck, North Dakota. This role involves working within a specialized obstetric unit, providing care for mothers and newborns. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position is suitable for qualified RNs with relevant experience and certifications.
Job Details:
- Location: Bismarck, North Dakota
- Specialty: Labor and Delivery Department
- Schedule: Rotational shifts of 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with a schedule planned six weeks in advance.
- Required Qualifications: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), American Association of Womens Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, and STABLE. A valid license to submit is required. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in Labor and Delivery or Labor, Delivery, Postpartum (LDRP). No minimum experience specified, but 3 years is preferred.
- Experience or 'Must have' skills: At least 3 years of experience in Labor and Delivery, able to titrate drips, and comfortable with scrubbing in.
- Additional Information: RTO (request for time off) needs to be provided upfront for contracts of seven days or less within a 13-week period. Candidates may not be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with the organization. The unit maintains a trauma level 2 designation and is located in an acute care setting. The facility has policies regarding floating to other units, including Pediatric Medical-Surgical, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Medical-Surgical, Progressive Care Unit, Intensive Care Unit, Emergency Department, and Psychiatric units.
