Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Step Down Unit located in Chicago, Illinois. This position involves providing care for stepdown, medical-surgical, and boarder patients, with a focus on patients requiring close monitoring and specialized nursing skills. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of the assignment.
Job Details:
- Specialty: Step Down Unit
- Location: Chicago, Illinois
- Schedule: Evenings from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with a minimum of 40 hours per week, including every other weekend off and Tuesdays off every week
- Required Qualifications: Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license; a minimum of 1 year of experience in a stepdown or equivalent unit; BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; EPIC electronic medical record system experience; travel experience preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification, EPIC experience, prior travel nursing experience.
- Additional Information: The schedule will include every other weekend off and Tuesdays off weekly. The nurse will be assigned primarily to the stepdown team but may be floated to med-surg and boarder patients as needed. Full, complete profiles including work history, stepdown equivalent checklist, and references are required for submission. The assignment begins as soon as possible for a duration of 8 weeks.
