Description

Job Summary:
An Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) position is available in Orange, California, at an acute care hospital. This role involves providing infusion therapy including chemotherapy, blood transfusions, intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG), hydration, and iron treatments. Candidates are required to bring their California nursing license on the first day of employment and must meet the specified qualifications to be considered.

Job Details:

  • Required Qualifications: California RN license in hand; BLS certification; Chemo (Oncology Nursing Certification (ONS) or Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC)); 1-2 years of experience preferred, with a minimum of 1 year of general experience and at least 2+ years of oncology experience; 1-2 years of relevant experience; experience with accessing/ managing ports, administration of chemotherapy, body fluid handling post chemotherapy, continuous infusion, cytotoxic therapy, inpatient oncology, isolation precautions/PPE, IV push administration, management/disposal of cytotoxic spills, chemotherapy monitoring, neutropenic precautions, outpatient oncology, phlebotomy skills, recognizing/communicating abnormal lab values, recognizing and managing side effects.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in an oncology infusion setting.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information: Candidates must include RTO requests at the time of submission. Travel is limited to hospitals within a 50-mile radius. All travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state. Refusal to float may lead to termination or forfeiture of guaranteed hours. Candidates must have COVID-19 and flu vaccines, committed to working at least 3 of the 5 major holidays. A recent California fire card (within last 30 days) is required. References covering at least 1 year (6 months for CNAs) within the last 3 years are required.
