Description

Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) Circulator position located in Seaside, Oregon. The role involves providing patient care during surgical procedures, circulating in a variety of surgical cases, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Candidates are required to bring their valid licensure on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS
  • Education/Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as an OR RN Circulator, with prior experience in endoscopy and orthopedic procedures preferred.
  • Location Requirements: Oregon licensure preferred or pending, with the ability to work in the United States.
  • Schedule: Day shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week. Calls are required on a rotating basis, including Fridays from 0630 to 0630 on Mondays, with evening and weekend shifts as part of on-call rotations.
  • Responsibilities include circulating in operating rooms for a variety of surgical cases, including thoracotomy, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, laparoscopic procedures, thyroidectomy, arthroscopy, fracture reductions, spinal fusions, joint replacements, cystoscopy, nephrectomy, prostatectomy, transurethral resection of the prostate, blood and blood product administration, infection control, laser safety, radiation safety, specimen handling, universal protocol adherence, and wound management.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required between units and facilities based on operational needs.
  • Additional Information: Candidates must have a vehicle for this assignment. The facility expects flexibility regarding floating to affiliate hospitals in the region. Candidates must be prepared to work three of the five major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day).
  • Submission requirements include verification of prior experience at a Providence facility, if applicable.
