Description
Job Summary:
The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in Concord, North Carolina. This role involves providing specialized patient care within the Labor and Delivery department of the healthcare provider. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of the assignment. The position requires a minimum of two years of Labor, Delivery, and Postpartum (LDRP) experience and offers night shift hours.
Job Details:
- Location: Concord, North Carolina
- Schedule: Night shifts, typically from 0645 to 1930 or 1845 to 0730, with a schedule cycle every 4 weeks
- Required Qualifications: RN license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), EFM (Electronic Fetal Heart Monitoring); minimum of 2 years of LDRP experience; must bring license on first day
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with labor management, cesarean section circulation, pre-op, PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit), triage, newborn resuscitation, Pitocin management, epidural management
- Support within the Department: Department includes a secretary (Monday-Friday 8-5), scrub tech, OB mentor, charge nurse (available 24/7), phlebotomy, IV/VAT team, respiratory therapists, hospitalists, intensivists, OB physicians, anesthesia/CRNA team, telemetry monitoring
- Additional Information: Average census of 9-10 patients daily, approximately 60-65 deliveries per month, working every other weekend, no call required, up to six days of RTO (away from work) can be approved, and travelers will work 75% of holidays.
- Floating: Floating within the region and scope of practice to various facilities, with paid travel time when floating mid-shift. Facilities include multiple regional locations.
- Orientation: NEO (Neonatal Elective Orientation), 2 days departmental
- Other Notes: Hospital-provided green OR scrubs, free parking, team-oriented unit culture.
