Job Summary:
The registered nurse (RN) position is based in the intensive care unit (ICU) within a healthcare facility located in Naperville, Illinois. This role involves working in a 36-bed Cardiac-Neuro Intensive Care Unit (CNICU), providing critical care to patients with cardiac and neurological conditions. Candidates are required to bring their Illinois license on the first day of employment.

Job Details:

• Position Description: Responsible for providing specialized critical care in a Cardiac-Neuro ICU setting. The ICU includes 12 Neuro patients, 12 Cardiac patients, and 12 medical-surgical ICU patients.
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, including every Friday and Saturday night, plus either Thursday or Sunday night.
• Required Qualifications: Illinois license, BLS certification, ACLS certification, NIHSS certification, 2+ years of ICU experience, and proficiency in EPIC charting.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in cardiac and neuro ICU settings.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Nurse to patient ratio of 1:2 or 2-3 depending on acuity. Orientation occurs Wednesday and Thursday, with credentials due the Thursday before the start date. Orientation hours are 6 hours, paid but not billable.
