Description

Job Summary:
A Registered Nurse (RN) position is available in a progressive care unit located in Washington, District of Columbia. The role involves working night shifts, with candidates required to bring their licensure on the first day. The focus is on cardiac stepdown and progressive care, supporting patients with conditions such as CHF, NSTEMI, arrhythmias, and vascular surgery.

Job Details:

  • Location: Washington, District of Columbia
  • Specialty: Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state/district, 2 years of RN experience, BSN degree (highly desired), graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program, current certifications including BLS and ACLS, experience with cardiac telemetry and Cerner electronic medical record system.
  • Additional Information: The unit is a 48-bed cardiac-focused stepdown unit with specialized care for patients with heart failure, arrhythmias, and post-surgical cardiac patients. Candidates must be prepared to handle frequent IV drips such as Heparin, Milrinone, Lasix, and Bumex.
