Description
Job Summary:
Operating Room Technician (ORT) position available in Fargo, North Dakota. This role involves supporting surgical teams in a busy acute care facility with more than 15 operating rooms. Candidates are expected to bring their license on the first day. The position requires a flexible schedule with 12-hour shifts.
Job Details:
- Location: Fargo, North Dakota
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, possibly 10-hour days, with call 1 to 2 days a week and every 3 to 4 weekends. Will need to stay late as needed; this is an extension of the regular shift.
- Required Qualifications:
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Must be on the North Dakota Board of Nursing Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP) Registry at least one week prior to start
- 2+ years of operating room experience supporting neuro, orthopedic, ENT, plastics, and trauma cases
- Experience working in a large hospital, level 1 trauma experience preferred
- Experience with robotics systems and equipment such as Zimmer, Depuy, Biomet, and Striker total replacements
- Ability to perform surgical and operating room duties according to established policies and procedures
- Valid license to practice required; candidates must bring their license on the first day
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a high-volume setting with more than 15 OR Suites (up to 25)
- Prior experience working with EPIC charting system
- Familiarity with surgical scrub procedures and appropriate scrub attire (provided)
- Additional Information:
- Must provide proof of initiation of application process within 3 business days of accepting offer
- Candidates must specify if they have previously worked for Sanford Health; if so, prior employment must have ended at least 6 months before submission
- Candidates residing within 80 miles of the facility will be eligible for a local travel rate, with a reduction of $8.00/hour.
