Job Summary
Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) Hermiston, OR. This role involves perioperative nursing practice during intraoperative surgical experiences. The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering safe, effective, and patient-family centered care in the operating room and perioperative services for diverse patient populations. The perioperative nurse acts as the patient advocate and oversees the direction and supervision of assigned personnel. The position includes a regular on-call rotation for the Surgery Unit.
Job Details
- Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN), ACLS certification, BLS certification, PALS certification, at least 1 year of experience in operating room nursing, and ability to work independently
- Preferred Qualifications: None specified
- Additional Information: The RN will be responsible for ensuring patient safety by protecting against injury from extraneous objects and chemical, electrical, laser, mechanical, and thermal sources. The role involves performing accounting procedures to safeguard the patient from unintended retention of foreign objects. The candidate must be comfortable on a regular scheduled on-call rotation for the Surgery Unit.
