Description

Job Summary: Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) Alton, Illinois
An Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) Telemetry RN position is available at an acute care facility. Responsibilities include caring for adult patients requiring cardiac monitoring, including patients undergoing post-cardiac catheterization and pacemaker-related care, as well as observation patients being ruled out for myocardial infarction. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

Schedule: Days; 12-hour shifts; minimum of 36 hours per week (312s) or 48 hours per week (412s)
Required Qualifications:
- Licensure: Submit without license OK; requires Missouri or compact license (no issuance if tied to another compact state)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Clinical skills/experience: Cardiac telemetry; interpretation and management of dysrhythmias; care experience with CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident); postmyocardial infarction care; postcardiac catheterization care; PCU/DOU/IMC/stepdown experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior charge experience
- Patient ratio experience
- Charting system experience with Epic
- Community hospital experience
- Travel experience
Additional Information:
- First-timers accepted: Yes
- Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
- On-call requirement: Yes
- Floating: Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs (Yes)
- Block schedule: Not available (Open to accommodating block schedule: No)
