Description
Job Summary:
Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN) position in Corpus Christi, Texas. This role involves providing specialized care in the endoscopy unit, performing procedures such as EGD, Colonoscopy, ERCP, and Bronchoscopy. Candidates are required to bring their RN license on the first day of assignment.
Job Details:
- Location: Corpus Christi, TX
- Unit Information: Endoscopy lab with 2-3 beds, staffed by 1-2 registered nurses and 1-2 technologists during shifts
- Schedule: 8-hour day shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: RN License, Basic Life Support (BLS/BCLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) candidates must have these certifications, possess a valid RN license, and have no minimum experience requirement
- Additional Information: Candidates should have endoscopy experience, moderate sedation experience, Meditech electronic medical record experience, and HLD/scope reprocessing experience. The unit performs procedures such as EGD, Colonoscopy, ERCP, PEG tube placement, Bronchoscopy, and EBUS. Fast-paced, adaptable, team-oriented, strong communication skills with physicians and anesthesia, detail-oriented, patient-focused with strong bedside manner are preferred qualities. The role includes overnight call coverage with two weeks of call and two full weekends per month, with variable scheduling.
