Description
Job Summary:
Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) position in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin. This role involves providing patient care in a facility with multiple specialties, including OB/GYN, General, Orthopedics, Spine, Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT), Podiatry, and Pain Management. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day and should have at least three years of experience in an operating room setting.
Job Details:
- Location: Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin
- Specialty: Operating Room (OR)
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in an operating room setting, with EMR (Electronic Medical Record) experience preferred
- Certifications: WI or compact Registered Nurse (RN) License, American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Schedule: 8-hour days, starting between 6:30 AM and 3:00 PM, with a guaranteed 40 hours per week
- Float: Possible float to backup Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) or fill sitter needs throughout the hospital if census is low; willingness to float to Aspirus Stevens Point, Plover, and Divine Savior required
- On Call/Call Back Requirements: One shift per week, every 5th weekend; response time preferred within 20 minutes, not to exceed 30 minutes
- Additional Information: The unit consists of five ORs and one Procedure Room, with specialties including OB/GYN, General, Orthopedics, Spine, ENT, Podiatry, and Pain. The candidate must demonstrate resilience, flexibility, and ability to manage change, working independently and collaboratively to ensure optimal patient care. Scrub colors will be provided by the facility.
- Shift Notes: 8-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM.
- The contract is eligible for 36 hours of unbillable low census hours, with potential on-call duties for low census hours. Call-back pay applies if called back to the facility. During flu season, mandatory vaccination with COVID and flu shots is enforced; unvaccinated travelers must wear a mask at all times.
