Job Summary:
This opportunity is for a Medical Surgical with Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) position located in Evansville, Indiana. The role involves providing high-quality care to patients with cardiac and renal conditions in a busy unit. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

• Location: Evansville, Indiana
• Schedule: 12-hour days, 36 hours per week minimum, with a shift from 6:30 am to 7:00 pm
• Required Qualifications: Current active compact license; American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification; minimum of 2 years of strong Cardiac/Telemetry nursing experience, including one travel assignment and trauma level II experience; recent Electronic Health Record (EHR) experience with EPIC; associate degree or certificate program completion.
• Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
• Additional Information: Must have recent EPIC charting experience and pass telemetry interpretation tests; strong assessment and critical thinking skills required; ability to initiate and titrate medication drips, manage chest tubes, and perform PIV insertions; comfort with high-acuity patient populations including cardiac conditions such as atrial fibrillation with RVR, flutter, blocks, heart cath without interventions, CHF, COPD, sepsis, and post-ablation care.
• Float: Float rotation may be required to other campuses within the organization, with a two-hour notice.
• On Call/Call Back Requirement: Not applicable.
• Holiday Rotation: Every other holiday, with three call-ins potentially leading to termination.
• Interview Days: Monday through Friday.
• Submission Requirements: Current active compact license, AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, NIHSS certification.
