Job Summary:
Decatur, Illinois This position is for an Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) at a Level II Trauma Center. The role involves providing advanced emergency care in a busy, 32-bed Emergency Department with an average daily census of 120 patients. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment. The assignment requires working either 4x12-hour night shifts (19:00-07:30) or 3x12-hour night shifts, with a minimum of 48 hours per week.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 4 days per week, minimum 48 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Illinois RN license or ETA, minimum 2 years of emergency department experience, and certifications including ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC.
• Preferred Qualifications: Cerner charting experience, previous charge nurse experience, and community hospital or Level II trauma center experience.
• Additional Information: Candidates must have active Illinois license or ETA to apply. Float within scope to meet facility needs. No on-call required. Must be adaptable to a block schedule. Staffing involves general emergency department care, trauma, pediatric emergencies, and a broad scope of critical procedures. Candidates should be prepared to perform a wide variety of clinical skills including interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of multisystem organ failure, IV therapy, trauma procedures, and neurovascular assessments.
