Job Summary:
Operating Room Open Heart (United States, North Carolina, Asheville) This position involves supporting the CV PreOp unit within a busy healthcare facility. Candidates will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, assisting with procedures such as arterial line, central line, and epidural placement, and ensuring smooth patient transfers to the operating room. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Location: Asheville, North Carolina
• Schedule: M-F 0500-1330 shift, minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; clinical experience in critical care; ability to work independently; strong communication skills; proficient documentation; experience with Cerner electronic medical record system; at least 0 years of relevant experience; valid licensure in the state of North Carolina
• Preferred Qualifications: experience in a high-acuity patient care environment, familiarity with advanced procedures like arterial line and epidural placement, and prior operating room or preoperative unit experience
• Float: Float rotation may be required
• Additional Information: Candidates must have excellent critical thinking skills, and the ability to manage a fast-paced, high-acuity unit with minimal supervision. The unit is equipped with GECarescape monitoring and Fuji ultrasound devices and emphasizes adherence to clinical policies and guidelines.
