Description
Job Summary:
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Open Heart Nurse in Aurora, Colorado. This position requires a highly skilled registered nurse to provide specialized care in a level three pediatric cardiac intensive care unit. Candidates are required to bring their Colorado nursing license on the first day of assignment.
Job Details:
- Location: Aurora, Colorado
- Position: RN - PICU Open Heart
- Length of Assignment: 13 weeks
- Start Date: 06/23/2026 to 09/26/2026
- Shift Hours: 12 hours (rotating days and nights) from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, with minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications:
- Education: BSN; Will Consider ADN with 6 years of experience
- Licensure/Certification: Colorado RN license or multi-state compact license, PALS, ACLS, BLS
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years Staff RN experience in dedicated CVP ICU (pediatric CICU or open heart) and previous travel experience
- Minimum Experience: 0 years (for new graduates or those with less than 2 years, the basic qualifications are outlined, but experience preferred)
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Pediatric CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse)
- VAD experience
- Teaching hospital experience (strongly preferred)
- Additional Information:
- Float Requirement: No
- Travel Required: Yes
- Weekend Requirement: Up to 75% of shifts
- On-Call Requirement: None
- Client reserves the right to float or reassign personnel within a 35-mile radius of the assigned facility to fulfill scheduled hours.
- No RTO approved within the first two weeks of the assignment.
- Medical and religious exemption requests for seasonal influenza vaccination are allowed.
