Job Summary
Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) position in Asheville, North Carolina. This role involves providing patient care in a fast-paced, high-volume emergency department with a focus on teamwork and excellent patient experience. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day.
Job Details
- Location: Asheville, North Carolina
- Shift: Nights, 12 hours shifts
- Schedule: Every other weekend, minimum 48 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: RN license, minimum of 2 years experience as a nurse with at least 1-year experience in an emergency room setting, 2 years experience in a Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED (100,000 visits annually). Previous HCA experience preferred.
- Certifications: ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course), CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale), ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) within 90 days of hire.
- Additional Information: The department emphasizes teamwork and the welcoming personalities of staff. It serves a multicultural community with over 120 languages. Staff must be flexible to work in all areas of the ED and adhere to hospital policies including dress code and unit guidelines.
