Description
Job Summary:
A registered nurse specializing in emergency room care is needed in Asheville, North Carolina. The position involves working in a high-volume Level 2 trauma center with a focus on delivering quality patient care in a dynamic environment. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of orientation.
Job Details:
- Location: Asheville, North Carolina
- Specialty: Emergency Room (ER)
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week, starting 06/09/2026
- Required Qualifications:
- Valid nursing license in the state of North Carolina
- At least 2 years of nursing experience with a minimum of 1 year in an emergency department setting
- Experience in a Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume emergency department with over 100,000 visits annually
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS, and ENPC (within 90 days of hire)
- Proficiency with Cerner electronic medical record system
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience with the organization is preferred
- Additional Information:
- Skills include teamwork mentality, ability to coach and give feedback in real time, flexibility to work in all areas of the ED, and strong communication skills.
- Must be adaptable to the departments emphasis on respectful patient experience and teamwork, known for serving a multicultural community with over 120 languages.
