Job Summary:
Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in Wausau, Wisconsin. The role involves providing specialized nursing care in a med surg intermediate care setting, with a focus on patients requiring ventilator and trach management, sepsis treatment, trauma care, and stroke management. The position requires a dedicated RN to work night shifts and support a busy, fast-paced unit.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: WI RN License, BLS and ACLS certifications, at least 2 years of experience in Stepdown/Intermediate/ PCU or similar units, ICU experience preferred, trauma Level II experience preferred, ventilator and trach experience required, at least 1 prior travel experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Float: AWH all inpatient units, as needed; typically float to higher acuity units.
• Holiday Rotation: Every other holiday.
• Additional Information: Phantom has heavy telemetry, stable, weaning ventilator and trach patients, sepsis, trauma alcohol detox, GI bleed, colostomy/ileostomy, chest tubes, TBI, ortho trauma, spinal cord injury, and stroke patients. Patient to nurse ratio is 4:1. Candidates should be resilient, adaptable, able to manage independently, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
