Description
Job Summary:
Position: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse in Anchorage, Alaska. This role involves providing specialized care within a high-risk obstetrics and antepartum unit, supporting patients through delivery, postpartum, and antepartum care. Candidates are required to bring their Alaska Registered Nurse license on the first day of the assignment.
Job Details:
- Type: Travel assignment in the Labor and Delivery Department at an acute care facility.
- Schedule: Rotating shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week, accommodating a 3x12 variable night shift pattern. The schedule may flip every 4 weeks if coverage requires both days and nights.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced certifications, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program).
- Required Qualifications: Valid Alaska RN license; 0 years of experience required; previous charge experience preferred or willingness to train as charge; candidates must have or obtain proper certifications prior to start.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with antepartum, high-risk delivery, postpartum, newborn assessments, and obstetric emergencies.
- Additional Information: Candidates must be willing to work 2 out of the 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year. Candidates should be prepared for a rotating shift schedule with most shifts being 12 hours overnight.
