Description

Job Summary:
A Labor and Delivery (L&D) registered nurse position is available in Anchorage, Alaska. This role involves providing specialized obstetric and high-risk antepartum care in a magnet-designated, Level II trauma facility with approximately 17 beds. Candidates are required to bring their Alaska registered nurse license on the first day. The position offers an assignment length of 13 weeks, starting as soon as possible, with a schedule of three 12-hour night shifts per week.

Job Details:

  • Location: Anchorage, Alaska
  • Shift Schedule: Nights, 3x12 hours per week, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting ASAP
  • Required Qualifications: Candidates must have a valid Alaska RN license (pending licenses accepted but must be in hand for auto-offer), minimum of 0 years of experience, and certifications including BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced, and NRP. Additional skills include antepartum care, high-risk delivery assistance, neonatal resuscitation, cesarean section support, and use of external and internal fetal monitoring.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Charge experience or willingness to train as charge nurse is preferred. Previous experience with Epic charting system, high-volume OB settings, and trauma levels II or above are advantageous.
  • Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week, beginning as soon as possible.
  • Additional Information: Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience in labor and delivery, be willing to work holiday shifts (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year), and include relevant references covering 1 year within the last 3 years during the compliance process. RTO (time off) requests must be included in the submittal and approved on an individual basis.
