Description
Job Summary:
A Sterile Processing Technician located in Portland, Oregon. This role involves supporting sterile processing functions within a short-term acute care facility. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position involves working night shifts from Friday to Tuesday, with 8-hour shifts.
Job Details:
- Location: Portland, Oregon
- Specialty: Sterile Processing Technician (SPT)
- Schedule: Friday through Tuesday, 8-hour shifts, 23:00 to 07:30, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Certification as CBSPD or IAHCSMM/HSPA, 1 year of experience in sterile processing, possessing an active license, working knowledge of Epic electronic medical record system, and ability to meet all mandatory skill requirements
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with robotic surgical systems, experience with Steam Sterilization Monitoring, and familiarity with a broad range of surgical and sterilization equipment
- Additional Information: Knowledge of High-Level Disinfection (HLD), use of washers/sterilizers, proper wrapping and sterilization procedures, and experience with various specialized surgical equipment and systems such as Da Vinci Surgical Systems and Sterile Processing Microsystem (SPM). Candidates may be required to work in a floating capacity within the hospital or to nearby facilities. Successful applicants must have a vehicle for transportation.
- Submittal Requirements: Candidates must respond to prior employment at a Providence facility and include location and dates worked. Two references covering one year (or six months for CNAs) within the last three years are required prior to start.
