Job Summary:
Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH) at a short-term acute care facility in Saint Louis, Missouri. This position involves working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases, including transplant procedures, within a level trauma setting. The role requires scrub and circulator experience, with rotating shifts and on-call responsibilities as needed.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week, rotating as needed from 09/14/2026.
• Required Qualifications: Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). Candidates must have two or more years of OR open heart experience, preferably with prior level one trauma facility exposure. First-time travelers accepted with more than two years of experience in a level one trauma environment. Valid license in Missouri or Illinois required at the time of submittal.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with heart and lung transplant procedures, scrub role experience in cardiovascular surgery, and familiarity with Electronic Patient Charting Systems such as EPIC.
• Additional Information:
  • The position involves primarily cardiac, thoracic, vascular, transplant, and pancreatic procedures within a fast-paced, emergent case setting.
  • Must have sufficient level 1 trauma experience and scrub credential for cardiovascular surgery.
  • The hospital has 1266 staffed beds and offers various parking options, including employee parking in designated garages.
  • Floating within the service line is required, and candidates must meet the local radius rule of being at least 75 miles from the facility.
  • No more than 7 days of right to request time off (RTO).
  • Certification compliance, including ACLS, must be completed by the specified deadlines.
