Description

Job Summary
Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH) nurse position in a short-term acute care facility located in the region. The role involves providing specialized cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical care in a high-paced environment. The schedule includes rotating night shifts, with potential for call shifts, and requires scrub and circulating experience within the specialty.

Job Details

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, from 10/26/2026 to 01/25/2027.
Required Qualifications: Valid state license; 2 years of experience preferred, with consideration for 1 year if the candidate has Level 1 trauma experience; valid certifications including BLS and ACLS; scrub and circulate experience in cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures; experience with transplant, Whipple procedures, and hybrid OR cases.
Preferred Qualifications: BSN degree; experience with Heart and lung transplant cases; familiarity with EPIC charting system.
Special Requirements: Must have sufficient Level 1 trauma experience; scrub and circulate experience required; specific procedural expertise in cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgeries; hospital experience in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Information: Night shift experience with heart and lung transplant procedures is necessary; candidates must be able to arrive at the OR within 40 minutes for emergency cases; floating within service line is required; parking arrangements vary based on shift schedule; orientation includes parking in designated garages and wearing scrubs.
