Description
Job Summary:
Vascular and Cardiothoracic Operating Room (OR) Technician position available in Englewood, Colorado. This role involves supporting open heart surgery procedures in a busy surgical unit. Candidates are required to bring their licensure on the first day of assignment.
Job Details:
- Location: Englewood, Colorado
- Shift: Nights, with shift hours of 12 hours. Flexibility for day/evening hours as needed; on-call with a 30-minute response time.
- Required Qualifications: Minimum of 1-year current acute care hospital experience as a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Technician. Certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS), DORA, and NBSTA certifications, which must be in hand prior to submission. Candidates must have open heart experience and be proficient in open heart procedures.
- Preferred Qualifications: Level I trauma experience, prior Meditech Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience, and additional procedural experience such as AVR/MVR/CABG/Bentall/Dissection are a plus.
- Additional Information: Candidates must be team players with a high level of accountability and expertise. Flexibility for day and evening hours, with call responsibilities required. The unit has a diverse staffing composition including charge nurses, registered nurses, surgical technicians, and trauma team members.
