Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) in Los Alamos, New Mexico. This position involves providing post-operative care in a 3-bed unit primarily serving adult patients, with experience in managing conditions such as appendectomy and gallbladder treatments. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of shifts.

- Patient Population: Primarily adult, with ENT cases once a month
- Unit Notes: There is not an expectation to float anywhere else; this is a shared position with Preoperative services.
- Position Information:
- Role: Registered Nurse (RN) in PACU
- Specialty: Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
- Number of Openings: 1
- Shift: Days with some call on nights and weekends
- Schedule: 8 hours shifts, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: Approximately 40 hours
- Call Requirements: Once notified of a case, must respond and be at work within 30 minutes
- Required Certifications and Experience:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- Minimum Experience: 2 years in PACU
- Additional Information:
- Must have prior PACU experience and be familiar with common postoperative diagnoses and treatments such as appendectomy and gallbladder procedures.
- Attire: Scrubs; open-toed shoes and fake fingernails are not acceptable.
- Candidate submission should include the standard candidate submission form, resume, and candidate self-assessment skills checklist.
