Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Labor and Delivery (L&D) located in Oxnard, California. This position involves providing high-quality maternal and neonatal care in a busy acute care setting. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment.

Job Details:

• Location: Oxnard, California
• Specialty: Labor and Delivery Department (L&D)
• Experience Required: 2-3 years of experience in labor and delivery; at least one prior travel contract is preferred.
• Certifications: ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Fetal Monitoring (American Association of Womens Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses - intermediate or advanced level).
• EMR System: Cerner
• Fetal Heart Monitoring System: FetalLink interacts with Cerner EMR
• Shift Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, every other week; minimum of 36 hours per week
• Float Requirements: L&D nurses will float to postpartum, and postpartum nurses will float to L&D; L&D nurses must have postpartum experience.
• Floor Orientation: Three shifts
• Patient Population: High-risk deliveries including all gestational ages; EMT drop-offs; substance abuse withdrawal; large Spanish-speaking patient demographic; patients with no prenatal care; transfer to higher-level facilities if needed.
• Additional Requirements: C-section circulating experience required; nurses need not have scrub experience.
• Other Details: Will work with permanent staff, handling complex maternal and neonatal cases, including NICU support and assisting with deliveries and care in the L&D and postpartum units.
