Description

Job Summary:
A registered nurse (RN) specializing in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) in Madison, Wisconsin. This position involves providing family-centered, critical care to pediatric patients with a wide range of medical and surgical conditions in a state-of-the-art facility. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

  • Location: Madison, Wisconsin
  • Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license, at least 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in high acuity hospital settings, strong Pediatric ICU experience, minimum of 1 year of cardiovascular (CV) experience, EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) experience, BLS (Basic Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications, pass/Fail telemetry test prior to start with strict passing criteria, COVID-19 vaccination not required, flu vaccination required unless medical or religious exemptions are provided.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a Level I or high-level Level II trauma center, telemetry interpretation skills, experience with the specific clinical skills listed in the skills section.
  • Float: Float: Float rotation may be required to NICU and general care units.
  • Additional Information: The unit has a daily census of approximately 18 pediatric patients, with a mix of neonatal, infant, adolescent, and pediatric cases, including cardiac, respiratory, neurological disorders, and transplant patients. The unit is a Level I trauma center and includes specialized procedures such as ECMO, CRRT, and VAD support. Traveler will be required to pass a telemetry exam prior to start.
