Job Summary:
The Operating Room Nurse (OR RN) position is located in Farmington, Connecticut. This role involves providing specialized perioperative nursing care for surgeries, including orthopedic, spine, and neurological procedures. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day. The position entails variable shift hours and a rotating schedule, with on-call responsibilities.

• Minimum Experience: 0 years (Candidates must have 4-5 years of Operating Room (OR) registered nurse (RN) or combined OR experience)
• Certifications/Education Requirements: Must have circulating experience; scrubbing experience is highly preferred but not required. Experience in complex neuro, spine, orthopedics, vascular, and proficiency with DiVinci robotic cases is preferred. Candidates must have or be willing to obtain Covid vaccination.
• Schedule: Variable hours based on need7:00 AM, 9:30 AM, or 1:00 PM start times, with a shift length of 10 hours and a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Preferred Qualifications: SCRUB EXPERIENCE IS HIGHLY PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED. OR RNs capable of scrubbing neuro, spine, vascular, orthopedics, and familiar with DiVinci robotic cases are desirable.
• Float: Client may float or reassign personnel within 30 miles of the original assigned facility within the clinical competence of the nurse.
• Additional Information: No block scheduling; mandatory overtime may be required on an as-needed basis; on-call duty at least one weekend per month; time off requests must be approved prior to confirmation.
