Description

Job Summary:
A Medical Surgical Orthopedic Nurse is sought for a position located in Martinsburg, West Virginia. This role involves providing patient care on a MedSurg Orthopedic and Neurology floor, with a focus on patients with diverse diagnoses such as spines, seizures, cranies, and traction. Candidates are required to bring their licensure on the first day of assignment. The position requires a minimum of two years of experience, basic arrythmia knowledge, and certification in Basic Life Support (BLS). The schedule includes three 12-hour night shifts per week, with every other weekend and holidays as needed.

Job Details:

  • Location: Martinsburg, West Virginia

  • Shift Time: Nights (7:00 PM 7:30 AM)
  • Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM 7:30 AM), nights per week, every other weekend, and holidays as needed
  • Required Qualifications: Certifications in BLS (AHA); NIHSS; Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role; Current license to submit, willing to wait for licensing; Basic arrythmia knowledge and ability to recognize fatal rhythms
  • Preferred Qualifications: ACLS certification
  • Float: Float rotation may be required to other MedSurg units, excluding Emergency Department or Behavioral Health units
  • Additional Information: Attendance is very important previous manager feedback on attendance will be considered. Travelers should work holidays if needed. The unit uses EPIC electronic medical record system.
  • Submission notes: Can only submit to 1 position at a time across the entire organization; candidates drivers license address must be outside 50 miles from the facility; previous perm candidates must be gone for 2 years; previous travelers there for 1 year must be gone for 2 years; all background hits must be disclosed.
