Description
Job Summary:
Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Pediatric Behavioral Health located in Norfolk, Virginia. This position involves providing patient care for pediatric and adolescent populations (ages 5-21) with conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, and behavioral crises. The RN will work in an outpatient setting with a family-focused approach within a fast-paced behavioral health environment. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Location: Norfolk, VA
- Shift: Night (12N) with a schedule of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; no minimum years of experience specified; experience in pediatrics and/or psychiatric care preferred; strong de-escalation skills; EMR experience with Epic required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric and/or psych experience.
- Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Float: Float rotation is not required.
- Additional Information: The position involves assessments, triage, medication support, crisis intervention, and patient/family education. It is part of a multidisciplinary team providing family-focused care in a fast-paced outpatient behavioral health setting.
