Job Summary
The state of Massachusetts currently has an opening for an Intensive Care Unit Surgical Nurse in Boston. This position involves providing specialized care to surgical patients in an 8-bed unit that caters to transplant, hepatobiliary, and general surgery cases. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.
Job Details
- Location: Boston, Massachusetts
- Unit type: Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU)
- Shift Schedule: Rotating 12-hour day/night shifts, every other weekend; 36 hours per week
- Minimum Hours Per Week: 36.0
- Minimum Experience: 0 years of related work experience
- Certifications: CPR from the American Heart Association (AHA), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Experience Required: 2-3 years of relevant work experience in SICU and Trauma/Level 1 Trauma settings; Epic electronic medical record experience required
- Additional Information: No local travelers will be accepted (must reside more than 50 miles from the facility). All shifts are rotating. Orientation is weekly, every Monday barring a holiday. NM to interview IVS to offer if time off is less than 7 days and not over a holiday. Please provide available dates and times for interview at the time of submission. All Ready To Work (RTO) requests must be presented at the time of application. Parking can cost up to $43/day.
