Description
Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit RN in Aspen, Colorado. This position involves providing nursing care as part of an interdisciplinary team in a rural Patient Care Unit. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The role demands competence to serve as the primary nurse in a low oxygen environment at high elevation.
Job Details:
- Location: Aspen, Colorado
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Colorado, or ability to obtain prior to start date
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification may be obtained upon hire
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification may be obtained upon hire
- At least 2 years of experience as an RN
- Additional Information:
- Housing: Travelers are responsible for securing their own housing. Suggested options include towns surrounding Aspen; $3,500/month is common for a one-bedroom apartment.
- Must be healthy enough to safely function in a low oxygen environment at approximately 8,000 feet elevation.
- Position urgency: Normal
- Must not have any scheduled time off (RTO) during the assignment.
