Job Summary:
Medical Surgical with Telemetry Nurse in West Burlington, Iowa. This position involves delivering patient care on a Medical Surgical and Telemetry unit, following the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day of assignment.

• Years of Experience: Zero years of experience required.
• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, Basic Dysrhythmia competency (pass a test during first week), and EPIC Electronic Medical Records experience within the last 12 months.
• Preferred Qualifications: Critical care experience and familiarity with Telemetry strips are advantageous but not mandatory.
• Float: Float rotation may be required, including to non-critical care inpatient units and Emergency Department when needed.
• Additional Information: The traveler will be responsible for self-studying Telemetry strips upon acceptance. A Basic Dysrhythmia test out will be given first week of assignment, which must be passed to continue working on the Telemetry/Medical Surgical unit. The unit supports a ratio of 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights for Telemetry, and 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights for Medical Surgical. The position may require occasional float to other campuses, including to Critical Care Units if applicable. The assignment involves participating in an every other weekend rotation and potentially responding to on-call needs during low census periods.
