Description

Job Summary:
Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) for Intensive Care Unit (ICU) position in Burlington, Vermont. The role involves providing specialized critical care in a high-acuity environment, with responsibilities including starting IVs, managing multiple titrating drips, ventilator care, and working with patients with complex, multisystem diseases. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

  • Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) requiredNIHSS prior to start, CCRN preferred
  • Required Qualifications: A minimum of 2 years of unit experience, prior travel experience, large teaching facility experience, current certifications including AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, NIHSS (prior to start), recent EPIC electronic medical record experience within the past 2 years, valid license to practice.
  • Additional Information: IVs to offer, shift is 7 days per week including weekends, no block schedules, bi-weekly orientations on Monday, next available on 7/27. All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained. Complete work history, including bed count, EMR, and facility type, is required to submit.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Requirements: The RN will be required to start IVs, maintain and manage multiple titrating drips, provide critical ventilator care, and care for patients with multisystem diseases including CRRT, IAPB, ECMO, COVID, vents, and others. Experience with multi-system disease processes is essential. EPIC experience from within the past two years is mandatory and non-negotiable.
  • Additional notes: Public transportation is NOT accessible in this area; reliable transportation, personal vehicle, or rental vehicle are strongly recommended.
