Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at a healthcare facility in Birmingham, Alabama. This position involves providing critical care to neuro and medically complex patients in a 12-bed unit. Candidates are required to bring their licensure on the first day of assignment.
Job Details
- Certifications, Education, and Experience: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) licensure, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, and at least 2 years of experience in an ICU setting.
- Schedule: Nights shift from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN licensure, ACLS and BLS certifications, and a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with neuro patients and ICU management equipment such as ventilators, arterial lines, and central lines.
- Float: Float as needed.
- Additional Information: The ICU handles neuro and intensive care patients, with patient ratios of 1:1, 1:2, or 1:3, utilizing equipment such as ventilators, arterial lines, and CVLs. The unit emphasizes critical care competencies and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
