Operating Room (OR) Nurse in Santa Monica, California. This position involves providing perioperative nursing care for a diverse surgical patient population within a busy acute care hospital setting. Candidates are required to bring their California nursing license on the first day of assignment.

Schedule: Multiple shifts, including 0600-1500, 1030-1900, 1430-2300, 0600-1900, 1030-2300, with minimum 40 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Valid California nursing license, at least 2 years of operating room surgical nursing experience, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, and current COVID-19 and Flu vaccines.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with a variety of surgical procedures including abdominal, gynecologic, orthopedic, neuro, urologic, and robotic surgeries, as well as familiarity with Epic electronic medical record systems and prior employment at a healthcare facility.
Additional Information: The role involves working in an acute care hospital with a patient census involving adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Shifts include on-call responsibilities with specific scheduling. Candidates must have OR experience with ortho/joint (including hip and knee replacement), robotic surgeries, and complex procedures such as laminectomies, spinal fusions, and head and neck surgeries. Candidates should be prepared for call requirements including weekday and weekend hours, and must have or be able to obtain a California license prior to start. Successful candidates will need to provide two recent references covering one year of work during the past three years, including some leadership or charge nurse experience.
