Job Summary
An emergency room Registered Nurse (RN) in Clearlake, California, is needed to join the organizations emergency department. Candidates must bring their California Registered Nurse license on the first day of employment. The role involves providing age-appropriate emergency care to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, including assessment, treatment, and documentation, in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details
- Location: Clearlake, California
- Schedule: Night shift; 1800 to 0630; 12 hours per shift; minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Current license as a Registered Nurse by the State of California; evidence of current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications; at least one year of Registered Nurse experience within the last 24 months and acute critical experience within the last 12 months or EMT and Emergency Department (ED) Technician with a minimum of two years of experience and in good standing; graduate from an accredited school of nursing; basic computer skills; vaccinations as required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Medical ICU Nurse (MICN) certification desired to be completed within one year of hire; certifications such as Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), and Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) encouraged and recommended.
- Float: Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: The role involves frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing, reaching above shoulders, sitting, walking inclines and declines, standing, talking, hearing, and performing repetitive hand motions. The employee must be able to perform a pull lift of 50 pounds from the floor. The position requires working in an environment with potential exposure to blood and body fluids. The RN will provide age-specific care and interpret patient data to assess needs promptly and accurately.
