Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at a healthcare facility in Austin, Texas. This position involves providing specialized critical care for pediatric patients in a dedicated unit staffed with experienced team members. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day.
Job Details
- Location: Austin, Texas
- Specialty: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
- Shift Time: Nights, from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Shift Hours: 12 hours per shift
- Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), previous PICU experience with vents and drips, 1-2 years PICU experience, and experience with EMR Meditech.
- Preferred Qualifications: NICU experience, team-player personality, flexible attitude, positive approach, and receptiveness to feedback.
- Additional Information: The unit maintains a CLABSI and CAUTI free record since 2014. The team comprises a small, cohesive group with great teamwork and camaraderie, offering a supportive work environment. The unit primarily handles respiratory illnesses with procedures like HFNC and seizure monitoring, without trauma or ECMO services.
