Job Summary
The position is for a Postpartum Floor Registered Nurse (RN) in Corpus Christi, Texas. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The role involves providing postpartum care to new mothers and their babies, following unit policies and clinical protocols. This opportunity requires clinical expertise in postpartum care and the ability to work a 12-hour day shift schedule.

  • Shift Hours: 12 hours per shift
  • Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
  • Schedule: Day Shift, 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Infant Formula Management (IFM). Education requirements include being a Registered Nurse (RN). No prior experience is specified.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Certifications in Certified Pediatric Nurse (CPN) and experience with Meditech electronic medical records, along with postpartum (PP) and labor & delivery (L&D) experience.
  • Additional Information:
    • Unit has 12 beds with staffing of 9 RNs, 2 New Graduates in orientation, and 1 Nurse Educator.
    • Patient ratios are approximately 3-4 patients per RN.
    • Equipment includes Baxter intravenous pumps and GE fetal monitoring systems.
    • Weekend shifts are required, with 4 weekends per 4-week schedule.
    • Candidates must have outgoing, eager, and confident personalities.
    • Dress code is royal blue scrubs.
