Job Summary:
Operating Room Nurse in Kyle, Texas. This position involves delivering professional nursing care in a busy level II trauma center's operating rooms. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day. The role encompasses scrub and circulating functions within the surgical setting, supporting surgeons and operating staff throughout procedures.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Fri/Sat/Sun, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid Registered Nurse license from the Texas Board of Nursing; professional licensure at the time of hire; Advanced Life Support (AHA or Red Cross) obtained within 6 months of hire; Basic Life Support (AHA or Red Cross) obtained within 1 month of hire; a diploma from an accredited nursing school or equivalent.
• Preferred Qualifications: Three years of clinical experience; prior experience in orthopedics, trauma, general surgery, gynecology, urology, DaVinci robotics, vascular, or cardiovascular operating rooms. Vascular and CVOR experience highly regarded.
• Additional Information: Must have critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a high-stress environment. Experience with Cerner electronic medical record system is required. Knowledge of surgical procedures including patient positioning, instrument handling, and assisting with robotic surgery is preferred.
