Description

Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse position available in Washington. This role involves providing acute emergency care within a trauma center environment. The position requires candidates to bring their license on the first day of employment. The shift hours are from 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM, and candidates must be available to work holidays in November and December. Candidates should have a minimum of two years of experience in a larger trauma setting.

Job Details:

  • Location: SILVERDALE, Washington
  • Position: Emergency Room Nurse
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a trauma setting
  • Certifications: ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and WA or Compact License required
  • Schedule: Nights shift from 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Unit Notes: ER has 56 trauma beds and 5 triage beds; ER holds are managed by ER Nurses with inpatient staff floating in; secure treatment rooms are available for psychiatric patients; approximately 170-200 patients served daily
  • Additional Information: Must work holidays in November/December; department orientation includes 1 day of compliance and 1 day of department orientation; no RTO considerations during the first full week of assignment
  • Responsibilities include assessing and managing patients with conditions such as cardiac events, stroke, sepsis, DKA, AMS, respiratory issues, abdominal pain, and mental health concerns. The role involves working with ED physicians, mid-level providers, RN charge nurses, techs, and paramedics, with access to EPIC electronic medical records and various respiratory equipment.
