Job Summary
Operating Room Open Heart Nurse in Colorado Springs. This position involves working in a CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) suite with an average of 30 cases per day, including open heart, TAVR, and endovascular procedures. The role requires experience in open heart or endovascular techniques and involves scrubbing into cases, assisting with procedures, and supporting the cardiac surgical team.
Job Details
- Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM; shift times are negotiable.
- Required Qualifications: BLS (American Heart Association) certification; minimum of 2 years of experience in operating room nursing, specifically with open heart procedures or endovascular techniques; valid license to submit; location in or near Colorado Springs, Colorado.
- Preferred Qualifications: ACLS (American Heart Association) certification.
- Float: Float to General Operating Room, PRN; may float within Zone 1: PEN, SFH, SFI, SMC, STM in case of high demand or no CVOR cases.
- Additional Information: Hospital-provided scrubs (light blue); one week unit-specific orientation; hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment; epic charting system; no BSN required; no trauma level specified; care setting is acute.
